New Mexico scholarships are wide ranging. They keep changing from year to year, as well as one college to the next one. These scholarships are mostly for people residing within the confines of New Mexico.
There are several scholarships a person can get from colleges and other institutions of learning regardless of whether you live in New Mexico or not.
Aileen Lee Scholarship
The Aileen Lee Scholarship is one such program that is opened for people. This scholarship is open for people who live outside the state of New Mexico, in addition to being first year students at the University of Oregon where it is offered.
Heidelberg College Out of State Grant
The Heidelberg College out of state grant is the next one of the New Mexico Scholarships that needs to be mentioned. However, it is open only to students who are not residents of the state of Ohio. Students need to be getting their education at Heidelberg College for them to qualify for this scholarship.
New Mexico Student Choice Grants
The New Mexico Student Choice Grants is also available for students to apply for. It doesn’t have a fixed application date deadline. This scholarship is designed for students whose financial situation is quite dire and it is eligible for students who attend the St. John’s College, or College of the Southwest.
Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
The Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals is one of the New Mexico Scholarships that are offered annually with December 01 being the deadline for sending applications. This is a program that is opened for 75 young Americans and they are also required to go through a two-month period where they must learn the German language.
EMU National Scholars Program
The EMU National Scholars Program is open to students who are not residents of either Michigan or Ohio. You must be a freshman, or a new transfer student whose GPA scores are not worse than 3.50.
JSU Alabama McGee Scholarship Program
The JSU Alabama McGee Scholarship Program is yet one more of the New Mexico Scholarships. It has a deadline of March 01 when all applications must have been received. As long as you are not a resident of Alabama, you are allowed to apply for the scholarship. Every successful applicant receives not less than $2,000.
Hatton W. Summers Law Scholarship
The Hatton W. Summers Law Scholarship is offered every year and applicants have until February 01 to send their applications. There are only two colleges in the country which offer this scholarship and one of them is the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
New Mexico Lottery Success Scholarships
The New Mexico Lottery Success Scholarships are open for any student willing to attend a college within New Mexico. Funding for this program starts during the second semester of the first year.
Korean American Scholarship Foundation
The Korean American Scholarship Foundation is open to students of a Korean heritage. As long as one is a full time student enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate program, you are allowed to apply for this scholarship. The main criteria that a student must satisfy to be counted eligible for this program includes academic activities, community services, academic achievement and dire financial needs.
However, there are probably hundreds of New Mexico Scholarships from which students can apply for.
