Connecticut Child Support Guidelines

There are several different factors that are taken into consideration when determining the child support obligation of the non custodial parent. In the state of Connecticut the parent is required to pay child support until the child turns 19 or graduates from high school. Whichever comes first.

A Few Factors Considered When Ordering Child Support

  • The parents age
  • The parents health
  • The parents employment status
  • The parent income
  • Parental skills
  • Parents education

Besides financial support a non custodial parent may also be required to provide health insurance, life insurance and provide other medial support.
